While on a stroll to Wollaston Beach last weekend, I stopped by the Coffee Break Cafe off Beale Street in Quincy - I think its the one on Old Colony Ave. but I can't remember the name of that street!Anyway, the line was out the door, but the wait wasn't long, and when I ordered my large iced coffee with milk and sugar, I found out why the place is so popular. The "barista" as Stabucks would call them took my order, then proceeded to mix a little hot coffee with the sugar, swish is around, then proceeded to pour cold coffee, milk, ice and the sugary mix from one cup to another, back and forth, to make sure it was ready. Now that's how to make a proper iced coffee. :-) Besides the coffee, the interior of the joint is really nice and comfortable. Its a real neighborhood atmosphere, complete with youngsters studying, toddlers running around, and plenty of eager customers. This place must be doing well and in my opinion, they deserve it. Too bad their website isn't representative of their service: http://www.coffeebreakcafe.net/I'll let it slide, I can't imagine ordering an iced coffee over the internet!
