The Cheese Plate is Rhode Island's newest cheese purveyor. The quaint cheese and wine bar, located on State St, right off of Water St. in Warren, is cozy and inviting. Sit down, have a glass of wine, a cheese plate and maybe a game of Scrabble. The selection of cheese is amazing. The variety is comprised of aged cheddars, regional goat cheese, hard to find imports and more. There is truly something for every cheese gastronomist. I sampled the Maytag blue, piave, aged gouda and manchego with some fresh bread with roasted garlic in it. But you'll find a lot more than cheese at The Cheese Plate- there are exotic meats, fresh breads and a great wine selection. You can sit and enjoy your cheeses or you can take them to go.
