Tomatoes and the salmonella outbreak

Summer is upon us and as we are excitedly starting to reap the treats from the garden, we are hit the bad news about a salmonella outbreak from tomatoes. Stores and restaurants are pulling the option to have raw tomatoes off the shelves and menus for a little while. There has been 150 reported cases in 17 states at this point. The main culprits at this point seem to be red roma, red plum and red round tomatoes.The FDA is looking in to the source of the outbreak but for now, let's wait till it seems to be gone. Do you know if the major fast food chains are doing the same?

Yes- I believe they are. I think there has to be hesitation from sellers to have anymore people sickened by tomatoes...
