In this age of mass production, some things might be better off created locally and inefficiently. Take food for example - recently there have been major problems with food manufactured in China - baby formula, milk, chocolate, and eggs.
I’m currently staying on a farm, and they have chickens here and thus fresh eggs. Not a bad idea, in my humble opinion.
