I’ve been both salt water and fresh water fishing. Each has its own challenges and rewards, though I think I like salt water fishing, but not so much for the fishing factors.
I really like the ocean, and so I like fishing there. If it weren’t for the ocean, I would probably like fresh water fishing better, probably fly fishing in a river. Its peaceful, challenging, and creative - if you make your own flies, which I’d like to try again someday. One nice thing about fresh water fishing is that you don’t really need a boat. You don’t need a boat for salt water fishing either, but that’s one of my favorite parts of salt water fishing too!
