This is one of my favorite ways to prepare vegetables:
The brussell sprouts don't take too long, but they come out so good! The root vegetables do take a heck of a lot longer though, but its worth it. I especially like the turnip and parsnip in there. They aren't very popular, but I really like them. I'm not sure why more people don't like those veggies. If you like parsnips or turnips, leave a comment! I'm curious if more people like them that I just don't know about.

I like parsnips, turnips, and brussell sprouts. My partner in crime however does not, and it makes it tough to make a healthy meal when my vegetable options are so limited.
I don't think I've ever hard turnips before, and to be honest with you I don't believe I even know what a parsnip is.
I love(!) parsnips, and like turnips. Parsnips are like carrots, sweet but with a little tang. They can be steamed, roasted, mashed, and a good introduction if your unfamiliar or not in love with them is tempura style. That might be the best way for your friend to try them out again. The light fry batter on the subtle sweetness is great!
Turnips are good, great roasted, good steamed and mashed with butter.
