There are many things that I judge solely by whether or not my sisters would like. They have such good taste, I rely on them for guidance about food, clothing, travel, and general common sense.
When it comes to bakeries, I rely on Amy for her sage wisdom of the grain. She has a knack for bakeries somehow; its beyond me - most of the time I don’t even know that there are any bakeries around.
So when I do happen to see a bakery, I ask myself: “Would Amy like this bakery?” And this weekend I happened to notice a bakery, and I decided Amy would like it. I ordered a coffee and a tart. Very tasty, and very nice staff. Sort of like Seven Stars Bakery, but definitely had its own vibe.
So without further ado, the bakery is called Bread Alone Bakery and Cafe. The location I visited was in Woodstock, New York, but I believe that there are multiple locations. If I ever go back to the Catskill Mountains, I’ll be back!
